About Maryland Bears  The Baltimore Sun Letters to the Editor October 15, 2004 Bear hunt will kill majestic animals Thanks for the article "Court to hear arguments Oct. 18 in lawsuit to stop bear hunt" (Oct. 8). The bear hunt is an atrocity. Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. should be ashamed of himself for not listening to the public protests and for rejecting a General Assembly committee's vote against the hunt. Innocent, majestic bears are going to die at the hands of trophy hunters. It's 2004, and this is still legal. Amazing. Deedee Dillingham Rockville |
